Count down for back to school has begun...

(last years first day of school pictures)

I am NOT ready for the kids to head back to school at all, how has summer gone by this fast? When did my kid (Katelyn) start wanting school to start? We still have some things that we want to do before they go back and here is the list:

*Butterfly farm
*Race (like in cars)
*Paddle boats at Kernersville Lake park
*Baseball game
*Beach trip with Grandma Tina
*Planetarium
*Natural Science center
*Linville Falls
*Chimney Rock Park
*Carowinds

Here's to hoping we get all of those things crossed off!! But for now we have the super fun task of school shopping!! YEAH!! Seriously, I am over excited! As much as it is going to be a pain, the crowds, me trying to get clothes for all three kids by myself, I am really looking forward to it! So are the kids, so Bring on the crowds, the annoyed parents that cant find the right size, the crying kids that just want to go home and play, the cashiers that cant seem to figure out HOW to get the "no tax" thing to work, cause here we come!

Big things!!

The kids and I have been enjoying some Southern Hospitality the last week. Our neighbors went away to Michigan (that's where they are from funny enough) and they let us have the keys to their fabulous swimming pool! We have been in the pool every day since last Thursday! Weather has been great and the kids have just been having a blast, as have I, working on my tan!
Most of you know that I can only swim to save my life, and that is if the life raft is 5 ft away!!! Katelyn feels so good when we are in the water together and she is saying "you can do it mom"!!
I am really wanting all my kids to learn how to swim and be little fish in the water! I'll tell ya, having access to a pool everyday sure does help! They are all doing amazing!! They love to make up "jumps" into the water, like the pencil jump, the butt jump (you have to slap your but as you jump in), the bomb, the backward fall, things like that! Emily is even getting in the action! So much fun to watch them playing! Grandma and Uncle Brad have been over and they have LOVED being in the water with them!

I want my baby back,baby back,baby back!!

We had so much fun with the boys when they were here with us!! I was seriously thinking I was a bit delusional thinking I would be able to make it the whole week with all five, but after the second day, I was SO happy to have that special time with them!! They are both such great kids and Dan gets along perfect with all three of mine, they each play different things and he seems to just mold to who ever he is playing with! Josh, oh Josh, cant get enough of that little/big guy!
Cant wait to see them again for cousins camp out at the end of August!
I am going to attempt to post a slide show of all the pics that I took when the boys were with us, but we'll see how that goes! Still new to this thingy!!

Love it when kids just say what they are thinking!!

As most of you know I have been watching Daniel and Joshua this week so that we can all spend some good time together and stay close even though we live so far, well we have been having a TON of fun and that is why I only have a second to post!! I will post more later this weekend and add some great photos from our week together!

Anyway, I wanted to get this out before I forget. Josh is, lets just say a healthy baby boy (so darn cute), and when I was giving him a bath in the sink the other day, Jacob wanted to help (he LOVES, LOVES him some Josh). He was washing him up and said, in the cutest little voice, as he was pinching Josh's man boobs, " Oh mom, his little boobies are so cute, I could just eat them up like grapes"!!! So funny! I am sure he heard me say a time or two, how I could just eat Josh up!!

Another time, me and Emily were playing on the bed with Josh ( he LOVES to roll around on the bed), and Emily sat right up and said "mommy, Josh is starting to be a grown up" I said "why do you think that Emily?" She said "because look, he is getting boobies"!!

Things I WAS going to do today...but didnt!

*finish painting the kids playroom art table
*two loads of laundry
*get a new cord for the camera
*order the mulch for around the swing set
*call the carpet cleaners and make an apt.
*make a hair apt.
*vacuum upstairs
*put flea stuff on the dog
*take the dog for a walk
*get new books from the library

What I DID do today...
*went to the gym for a good work out, but not good enough to work off the second thing I did today
*ate fast food THREE times
*played trains with the kids
*painted ONE coat on the kids art table
*sat outside while the kids played at the neighbors trampoline
*drove John crazy since he was at home working and I could not stop talking to him about when he could stop working
*went shopping for a new patio set, but found they cost WAY to much money for me to get one right now

Katelyn had the right idea today, we should have all just took a LONG nap!

It was a fine enough day, as everyday is truly a gift!

Yesterday is History...
Tomorrow is Mystery...
But today is a gift, that is why it is called PRESENT.

Movie night...

Took the kids to see Kung Fu Panda tonight with Grandma Tina and they Really liked it! Emily took a nap this afternoon as to be able to stay up and watch the 7:00pm movie and now she will most likely be coming down the stairs any second, unable to fall asleep!! Usually she is asking for this and that at the movies but tonight she sat silent, watching, must have been the nap?! (Enter Emily, she just walked in, seriously) Okay, back to what I was saying... We "sneaked" in our own drinks and candy which Jacob is never happy about. He is sure that they are going to take us to jail, but tonight he made no mention of it. Breaking the rules is never good people, unless it costs you more for candy and drinks than it cost to get the whole family into the movie!
So when we got home of course the kids had to be their favorite character from the movie and act out scenes. Very entertaining. I read books before bed after the kid used "ninja" skills to make up the beds, Jacob said he has the best ninja skills because he made up my bed all by himself. When I finished reading the books, Jacob said " man mom, when you were reading those books, I almost forgot I was a ninja."
Cant let that happen!

Count down to Daniel and Josh coming to visit us! We pick them up on Sunday and cant wait to spend some time with them! We got a little one ring pool for Josh today and a little seat raft for when we go to the big pool. We have plans to make some great things for cousins camp out and lots of Playing, playing, playing!!

Just getting started!

Okay, here we go. I am a bit shy about getting on this "blog" thing but think it really is going to be the easiest way to keep everyone up to date on the happenings of our busy Family! Plus, I LOVE reading everyone Else's blogs! :)
So I promise I will keep this up to date by blogging at least once a date/night and will post as many pics and such as I can. Hope you all enjoy reading it and find it not to be boring!
